Finding a Tree in a Bunch of Loose Forms I Thought Would Become Sci-Fi

Hey it’s another tree.

When I sketch I tend to find spaceships, landscapes, fantastical creatures, stars and trees in the loose forms and lines. Playing with a large brush in Clip Studio Paint for another relaxing paint session, I created a rough scape of sky and land shapes.

This is how it started, big brush with some texture and opacity.

In this image I see a tower of mountains with future buildings and spaceships. Also two neighboring stars. My favorite fast tracks to fantasy landscapes: nebulas, rings, multiple stars and/or natural satellites. Love to browse sci-fi conceptual art, book covers, and posters for inspiration.

Nice try sci-fi, but not this time.

Placing flat shapes on the background I can see a futuristic scene happening, but not as a quick exercise this time.

I need to learn how to make a custom brush in CSP. I've made them in Photoshop and Procreate before but not CSP. Adding that to my list to try. Make a custom brush in CSP with a variety of shapes, like greebles for physical model making as a brush.
