Chaotic Playful Comic About a Hippo, Rabbits, and Robots

One of the fun things about 24 hour comic day I appreciate is being near so many comics being made all at once. Another is when I succeed in making a whole book during the event.

A few years back I created this comic during 24 Hour Comic Day which at the time was called No Remorse River Horse. Later I added rhyming narration which helped both me and new readers make more sense of the wild narrative. That version is called Toughest Hippo Goes to Bunny Town.

Looking at the story I get ideas for a longer version that actually develops a sense of character and space and clear reasons for the conflict. One may expect all those things in a first draft and that's reasonable.

It may help your reading enjoyment if I set the scene.

Toughest Hippo a.k.a. River Horse is a uniquely powerful character who does what they want, when they want.

The bunny characters are a scientist, an investigator, an assistant, and a restaurant host. The scientist is working to build a fortress out of Bunny Town.

The bunny fortress is annoying to Toughest Hippo because it makes it tough to annoy and bother the rabbits. The fortress will also block all the water from the Hippo Kingdom, which doesn't bother Toughest Hippo.

However, the Hippo King cares. Bunny fortress interrupts both wealth generation and partying which frustrates the Hippo King to a great extent.

Also Hippo King can turn into a robot.

Also the bunnies have a robot defender.

And nobody in the story knows how to talk through their problems, collaborate, or negotiate.
