Halloween Projects Photo Gallery: Splatoon Inklings + Interactive Tree

This year I had a few ambitious Halloween projects to make props for my family's costumes and to make an interactive spooky tree.

The costume project took a bit more time than I expected. It started as 2 costumes then became 4 once our whole family was sold on being dressed as Splatoon Inkling characters. Double the costumes meant more clothes for Kate to make, more props for me to make. Kate made the costume clothing (hats, shirts, skirt, tie) and I made the props (brushes, rollers and ink tanks).

The tree project lives on and will become a different kind of interactive tree: to be determined if it'll be holiday themed or magic themed or somehow both. I journaled about this project on the Polytechnicast episode Interactive Halloween Tree.
