Journaling About Creativity, Design, and Collaboration: 10. Nourishing Wandering
Continuing this series, where I share one page and transcription of a handwritten journal entry.
Nourishing Wandering
Openness and cloudy circumstance
not knowing concrete or instinctual
abstract actions.
In our circumstance, relationships, mental models, emotions,
we need to trust in being now, what
led us here, and that we're building toward
something worthwhile in us and around us.
To be lost is natural as a kite that
droops without wind.
Being lost is a gift of space to reconnect.
The flow of being a creature experiencing
time will provide chances to notice as you
wander.
Noticing what nourishes you, builds you,
activates you.
That's the gift of lost wandering.
Brief reaction to transcribing this page.
One thing I know for sure about this creative journal project. It's clear to me I read the Tao Te Ching a lot and have always wanted to write in that spirit mixed with rock lyrics and a dash of The Book of Five Rings. I'm not claiming I see equivalence, more that I'm noticing influence.
